Ramón Valle & Vernon Chatlein

To celebrate their 50^th anniversary, BIMHUIS is partnering  with various venues and breeding grounds in Amsterdam in their series BIMHUIS Loves. Together with these partners in jazz, the BIMHUIS will organize five exciting concerts during five Wednesdays in October at the following special locations: De Roode Bioscoop, Zaal100, ZOJazzStage, Splendor and Sexyland World. A duet of the highest order is what you can expect at this concert by Vernon Chatlein and Ramón Valle. Vernon Chatlein is a percussionist and composer with an extensive color palette. Originally from Curaçao, he spent two years in Cuba to study music. He then moved to the Netherlands for further studies with the godfather of Curaçao jazz, Randal Corsen.

Ramón Valle is a piano giant. Since his debut album almost thirty years ago, the Cuban jazz pianist and his quirky cocktail of genres have become a regular on the international stage. He just released his latest album, Flashes from Holland, with Jesse van Ruller amongst others.
