The Conservatory of Amsterdam is full of young, talented musicians with a drive to create and inspire. From May 17 till the end of June, every tuesday our stage will be the playground of these Rough Diamonds. Every edition two promising bands will perform, access is free.
Martí Mitjavila Trio
The Martí Mitjavila Trio consisting of clarinettist, double bassist Simon Osuna and drummer David Puime is going places. They recently won the Grachtenfestival Jazz Competition 2022, and will perform on the famous NN North Sea Jazz Festival this summer. The trio distinguishes themselves with unique interaction and interesting composiiton from Marti Matjavilla himself, combined with the lesser known material of the American Songbook.
NAUSYQA
Dense soundscapes, engaging grooves, evocative melodies. Be prepared to take off on an journey where the destination is what matters the least. NAUSQYA recently won the Denise Jannah Award during the Grachtenfestival Jazz Competition 2022 and reached the final of the Keep an Eye Award 2022. They will release their debut EP this fall on the record label Wicked Wax.
