Since ten years now, pianist Marcel Worms invites composers from all around the world to compose a blues for him. By now there are about 160 pieces written, coming from 45 countries. In the majority of these countries the program has been performed and a selection from the repertoire has been released on three albums. This anniversary concert at the Bimhuis shows a new harvest of blues composed by:Svitlana Azarova (The Ukraine), Evrim Demirel (Turkey), Chris Gendall (New Zealand), Mathieu Polak (Netherlands) and Allan Segall (USA). Performed will also be earlier composed blues from a.o.: Martin Fondse (Netherlands), Elena Kats-Chernin (Australia), Abdalla El-Masri (Libanon) en Riad Abdel-Gawad (Egypt).
