Jazz Express; Prinses Christina Concours & New Amsterdam Jazz

The Jazz Express is here with Groove Beast! Walk into the driving concert hall of the Prinses Christina Concours i.c.w. New Amsterdam Jazz and the BIMHUIS and get swept up in the groove of New Orleans.

Here Jetse de Jong, a wizard on the keys, performs possessed by the blues. When Jetse plays the piano, it sounds like he was born on the other side of the ocean, in music city New Orleans. It’s as if he fell into a big soup pan of gumbo as a child and never stopped making music after that. In this interactive Groove Beast mini-concert Jetse, together with Kian, Claus and Elmer, will let you hear which rhythms and songs belong to New Orleans. Katja Kuipers, prize winner of the Prinses Christina Jazz Concours, sings along especially for this concert. She is only 15 years old but already singing like no other!
