BIMHUIS 50 EXPO’s

Almost all the concerts on our stage over the past 50 years have been recorded, starting with audio-only and, since 2018, also on video thanks to BIMHUIS TV. This entire archive has been digitized and is now under the care of Allard Pierson, the museum in Amsterdam that collects, manages, opens up, researches, and presents valuable cultural heritage. Starting in October, part of our archive will be available to listen to and watch there.

There’s a mini version of our building in the Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam or OBA in short (Public Libraries) located at Oosterdok. Take a seat in this mini version and watch your favorite BIMHUIS TV concerts.

You wouldn’t think it, but we’ve got an attic too, where besides the Christmas decorations, we have a lot of unique items. In our cafĂ© exhibition, you’ll see personal concert requests from now world-famous musicians, old posters and headlines, photos, and other remarkable pieces from 50 years of BIMHUIS history.
