Henry Threadgill & Steve Lehman meervoudige nominaties JJA awards
HENRY THREADGILL EN STEVE LEHMAN ZIJN MEERVOUDIG GENOMINEERD VOOR DE AMERICAN JAZZ JOURNALIST ASSOCIATION AWARDS.
De toonaangevende Jazz Journalists Association (JJA) heeft de nominaties bekendgemaakt voor de prestigieuze awards die de organisatie jaarlijks uitreikt. De winnaars worden bekendgemaakt tijdens een gala-avond in New York City op 14 juni.
HENRY THREADGILL, op zaterdag 8 mei in het Bimhuis, is genomineerd in de categorieën:
BEST COMPOSER, BEST ENSEMBLE, BEST MUSICIAN en BEST RECORD OF THE YEAR (voor This Brings Us To, Vol. 1, met dezelfde bezetting als bij het komende Bimhuis concert).
STEVE LEHMAN, op vrijdag 21 mei in het Bimhuis, is genomineerd in de categorieën:
BEST COMPOSER, BEST ALTO SAXOPHONIST en BEST RECORD OF THE YEAR (voor Travail, Transformation and Flow, met dezelfde bezetting als bij het komende Bimhuis concert).
